Another project I'm looking at is how you can make money by creating viral videos and posting them on youtube. Let me know what you think about that.

I was wrong about Tag and Ping
I was wrong about tag and ping on two points- its importance to seo marketers and how it would be abused- mainly because it doesn't seem to be as vulnerable to manipulation as the search engines have been.
Despite Google's complicated algorithm, there are still loads of sites (it seems like 2-3 in the top ten) for most searches that to me pretty obviously are looking just to get you to click on an ad or buy something- that is, basically deceptive- why? because artificial intelligence isn't a reality yet- and so marketers can stay one step ahead- and from what I've seen, they stay a step or two ahead of the general public because they haven't seen enough websites to know which ones are real and which are deceptive.

how to tag and ping- the free introduction
I'm tuned in to a lot of the emails that come from every latest and greatest new ebook author- and the hype right now is around "tag and ping"
"blog and ping" was big a year ago because you could blog, then ping indexing services to get high pagerank links in from the blog directories to your blog- instant rankings. but that got overused and isn't so big a deal now.
"tag and ping" is the new seo innovation because it takes advantage of a new thing some blog directories like technorati do, "tagging" posts. That basically means you get to assign your own keywords to your posts. And you do it by simply creating a href links that have the operator rel="tag" in them.
There are several good resources for learning more about this without paying $150-200 for an ebook...
This one is by far the best: Adding Technorati Tags to Wordpress - you can use what she says in blogger templates too - or anywhere, because she talks about how to do the a href's
Now, all the usual suspects are going to start abusing this, and probably get away with getting high blog directory rankings before the directories figure out how to fix tag spam...
but no reason for you not to start using it now ethically (apply accurate tags to your blogs using keywords- don't overdo it).

Are Reciprocal Links Obsolete?
http://seoelite.com/chat/viewtopic.php?t=3869)"...Google has become smarter at identifying which links are useful/relatedand which links are not. In their efforts to focus on link quality, Googlehas improved it's algorithm for evaluating links. Since many low-gradereciprocal linking techniques don't put much emphasis on link quality, those bad links have had their values slightly reduced..."

Yahoo fights link schemes and link farms
Axandra reports that Yahoo has filed a new patent with the name "Link based spam detection". It's another attempt from Yahoo to improve the relevancy of their search results by detecting links from link farms and other shady link sources.

We're BACK- return of top ten search engine rankings blog
We didn't have our subdomain temporarily, and I moved all the content to adwordsconsultant.blogspot.com.
In the future, posts here will be specifically about SEO, and the other blog will be about adwords.
